Is the FBI Unable or Unwilling???

I keep getting junk mail from entities claiming to be the FBI, it's director or both. I always thought impersonating a Fed was a crime. Is the FBI unable or unwilling to track down these spammers?

I agree plus that is how you get virus's on your computer. Here is an interesting bit of knowldge for you. Since the freeom of information act many web sites and log your ip adress and look at every thing about your computer. Back a long time ago there was a free web site company called angel fire. It turned in to a hacker site and every thing. Well these hackers build programs so when you stumble upon there website it gets your email address, saved passwords, and any other thing they want. They can also install key stroker programs that run in the back ground and record every thing you type. You never see it coming and never know its there. ALot of porno sites do this this come up with a collection of emails ect. and sell them. They only way to avoid this is to stay on big web sites and not venture out on the net. OR buy a mac since i made the switch to mac i havent got one virus. any way. see ya

There are also several software programs you can purchase that have anti-key logging and virus protectors. A really good free one is AVG for virus protection and anti-spyware. A company called Identity Guard also has a product they offer in conjunction with their Identity theft program that stores all your passwords for you as well as an anti-key logging program. It's AWESOME!!! It encrypts everything you type. Even when you type keywords into a search engine. Just some additional info for you...

Thank you for the info. The purpose of this post was to slam the FBI!. All those emails get filtered and put in my junk mail folder.

I will look closer at my on line security.
